2025 Atlanta Point-in-Time Count

The 2025 Point-in-Time (PIT) Count provides a snapshot of homelessness in the City of Atlanta. The count identified 2,894 people experiencing homelessness, a 1% increase from 2024.
Key findings from the 2025 count include:
- 1,061 people were unsheltered, a 2% increase from 2024.
- Family homelessness increased 14%.
- Chronic homelessness decreased 9%.
- Veteran homelessness decreased 6%.
- Youth homelessness decreased 3%.
- Overall homelessness increased just 1% from 2024, which Partners for HOME says may indicate that homelessness in Atlanta is beginning to stabilize.
The PIT Count is conducted annually and provides a one-night snapshot rather than an exact count of every person experiencing homelessness. The information helps Atlanta track changes in homelessness and determine where housing and services may be needed.
