As of June 21, the Policing Alternatives and Diversion Initiative (PAD) will be available throughout the city of Atlanta. PAD is a program that offers an alternative to calling the police for non-emergency situations or to report community concerns related to mental health, substance use, or extreme poverty.
Residents can request assistance by dialing 311 (or by calling 404-546-0311 if outside the city limits, weekdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.).
