Need Food Assistance? MUST Ministries Offers Several Ways to Get Help

When grocery money doesn't stretch far enough, MUST Ministries offers several ways to get food assistance.
MUST distributes more than 3 tons of food each day through programs ranging from traditional food pantries to mobile distributions and school-based pantries.
Where Can You Get Groceries?
MUST operates food pantries at its Client Services locations in Marietta, Smyrna and Canton. The locations are currently open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
If you're seeking groceries, MUST says you should be prepared to provide identification for household members and proof of your current address if your ID doesn't show where you currently live.
What If You Can't Get to a Food Pantry?
MUST also operates a Mobile Pantry, which brings food distributions into communities for people who may have difficulty reaching one of its regular locations. Distribution locations and schedules can change, so check MUST's current schedule before going.
Help for Families With Children
MUST's Neighborhood Pantry program places food pantries directly inside participating schools.
Families receive groceries and household necessities at no cost. If your child's school participates, contact the school counselor or social worker to ask about being considered for the program.
MUST also operates Summer Lunch, which provides food for children who normally depend on free or reduced-price meals during the school year.
Help for Seniors and People Who Need a Meal
Low-income seniors may also receive supplemental groceries through MUST's Senior Food Program.
And for someone who needs food immediately, the Loaves and Fishes Community Kitchen at MUST Hope House in Marietta provides a free noon meal Monday through Friday to anyone who is hungry and needs one.
Don't Wait Until There's Nothing Left
Food assistance isn't only for someone with no food at all.
If buying groceries is forcing you to choose between food, rent, utilities, or other necessities, using a food pantry can free up money for the bills that keep your household stable.
Start by contacting MUST Ministries to find the food program that's available in your area.
