The Ralph David House, Quick-Delivery Housing Update

Mayor Andre Dickens has made great strides in advancing his affordable housing agenda since signing an executive order in August 2023 to create quick-delivery housing options. The mayor and city partners are opening another place to support unhoused individuals.

The Ralph David House, formerly an Atlanta motel, has been repurposed to provide housing for those experiencing homelessness. The 56-unit modern studio apartments are located at 277 Moreland Avenue.

Project Goals

• To offer temporary accommodations while residents work towards permanent housing.
• To offer support services such as counseling, job training, and healthcare, and help residents reintegrate into society.
• Reduce the number of people living on the streets.
• Improve overall community health and safety.

This is part of the same initiative that produced The Melody, both stemming from Mayor Dickens' executive order on quick-delivery housing.
