DeKalb County and New Life Community Alliance have opened the South DeKalb Day Center, a new resource for people experiencing homelessness who need a safe place during the day and help connecting to services.

What Help Is Available?

The center provides hot meals, showers, restrooms, and clothing, but it goes beyond basic necessities. Visitors can also access case management, housing and shelter navigation, counseling, medical services, computers, GED programming, and barber and beauty services.

Where Do You Go?

South DeKalb Day Center
3592 Flat Shoals Road
Decatur, GA 30034

The center is operated by New Life Community Alliance in partnership with DeKalb County.

Before visiting, we recommend contacting the center to confirm current operating hours, available services and whether an appointment or intake is required, as those details can change.

Another DeKalb Center Is Coming

Residents in North DeKalb may eventually have a closer option. DeKalb County is also developing a second day center at 2050 Chamblee Tucker Road, which is expected to be operated by St. Vincent de Paul Georgia.

That location is expected to provide meals, showers, laundry, case management, employment assistance, housing resources, behavioral health services and other support.

We will update our Community Resource Directory when the North DeKalb location opens and begins accepting clients.
